DÜRR NDT strengthens software division with new subsidiary in Malaysia
DÜRR NDT, one of the world's leading providers of non-destructive testing (NDT) systems for radiographic testing, inaugurated its new software development headquarters in Malaysia on April 2, 2019. With the new location and extended team of software developers, it will be possible to react even faster to the changing and constantly increasing demands of the NDT industry in the future.
Since the introduction of DÜRR NDT's comprehensive X-ray inspection software D-Tect in 2006, it has quickly become one of the leading software programs for digital radiographic testing. Initially offered as part of a system with DÜRR NDT’s imaging plate scanners, support for flat panel detectors followed soon after.
More than 40 customers and business partners from all over the world attended the grand opening. Nick D'Ademo, Head of Software Development, welcomed the guests and gave an outlook on the future of the software: "Faster data processing, more efficient evaluation tools and reporting, and a development philosophy centered on listening and responding to the needs of our customers in a rapid and agile way.”
Oliver Ruzek, Managing Director of DÜRR NDT, said at the opening: "With the opening of our Kuala Lumpur office, we are continuing our strategy of focusing heavily on software for the NDT market in addition to our already well-established hardware business. Malaysia is the ideal location for us to develop high-quality, fast and also cost-effective tailor-made solutions for our customers worldwide with our team of highly-trained software specialists."
Zulfahmy Awaldin from NDT Instruments, the local DÜRR NDT representative, added: "Just as with DÜRR NDT’s industry-leading hardware products, we look forward to offering even more innovative software solutions to our customers in the region.”
DÜRR NDT has set the course to continue to provide its customers with professional and cutting-edge software solutions while at the same time fostering and supporting the NDT industry in its goal towards digitization.
